Your Role: Front Desk Representative
As the first person patients encounter, your presence sets the tone for their entire visit. In this role, you’ll create a welcoming and professional environment while supporting daily front office operations that ensure every patient receives timely, compassionate care.

What You’ll Do
- Welcome all patients and visitors with warmth, courtesy, and professionalism.
- Answer and route phone calls, addressing inquiries with patience and empathy.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments; provide necessary visit information.
- Collect copays and payments, verify insurance, and update patient records.
- Conduct interviews for sliding fee scale eligibility and document appropriately.
- Assist patients with medical assistance applications and related paperwork.
- Manage incoming medication shipments and coordinate pickup notifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area and waiting room.
- Document interactions accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and organizational policies.
- Cross-train with other front desk functions to provide team coverage and flexibility.
- Respond to patient concerns with grace and problem-solving efficiency.
What You Bring
- A heart for service and alignment with PHC’s faith-based mission.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, patient-focused attitude.
- Experience in a medical office or customer service role is a plus.
- Familiarity with EMR systems and insurance verification preferred.
- Confidence in handling financial transactions and daily reconciliations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Compensation: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
